Anil is a seasoned technocrat mechanical engineer with more than 30 years proficiency and experience working with Anivik PharmaTech Solutions, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Daiichi Sankyo & Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, handling wide range of responsibilities including but limited to Plant Engineering, Utilities & Maintenance, HVAC, Validations, Engineering Systems Harmonization, Projects & Project Management, Environment Health & Safety, Process Engineering, Contract Manufacturing, Manufacturing Operations, Inventory Management, Technical & Commercial negotiations, Regulatory Compliances & establishing Quality systems.

Anil has been extensively responsible for the spread of contract manufacturing base in INDIA by coining and incorporating new business practices and streamlining partnering processes and adding new sites for regulated markets while handling many complex manufacturing & supply contracts. His extensive independent expertise brings Technical, Analytical, Trouble shooting, Debottlenecking, Productivity improvement & Multitasking skills having an immense understanding of: Techno-commercial contracts, regulatory guidelines, compliances, transfer and absorption of technology in manufacturing processes including Oncology products at Contract manufacturing facilities, meeting containment requirements as per process needs.

Presently Anil is a Managing partner in Anivik PharmaTech Solutions which is an experience and knowledge based, fully integrated organization providing professional consultancy solutions for Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Auditing, Validation and Training Services, Design Engineering and Execution of Projects for both Finished Dosage Forms (FDFs) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Chemical / Biochemical, Food panning a Global footprint.

EXPERIENCE:
Wide range of experience in plant engineering including utilities & maintenance, HVAC, Water & PLC systems validations, engineering systems harmonization, project management, contract manufacturing, manufacturing operations, inventory management at Daiichi Sankyo, Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited.

Have led Contract manufacturing team; mainly responsible for the spread of contract manufacturing base in India & Abroad by coining and incorporating new business practices and streamlining partnering processes, adding new sites for regulated markets while handling many complex manufacturing & supply contracts.

Recognized to possess sound technical, analytical, trouble shooting, debottlenecking, productivity improvement & multitasking skills. Have a fair understanding of regulatory guidelines, compliances, absorption and transfer of technology including that for oncology products at contract manufacturing facilities, meeting containment requirements as per process need.

Have led the engineering function of one of the major units of RANBAXY, have an in depth knowledge in operation & design of utilities such as refrigeration, steam, water etc. having hands on working experience in identifying & implementing cost reduction measures for energy & water, designing and implementing systems for HVAC & clean room, equipment qualification & validations, design of brown field expansion projects, selection of equipment, instruments and vendors.

Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements. Have successfully handled periodical audits by various local & international regulatory authorities including US FDA.

Recognized for harmonizing & implementing Good Engineering Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices & systems across the organization. Extensive exposure to multi-functional activities / roles like Engineering Maintenance, Project Management, Systems harmonization, Documentation & Contract manufacturing.

Recognized for playing a key role in establishing ISO 14001 compliant Environment Management System (EMS) & developing OSHAS 18001 compliant systems. Recognized for designing, installation and commissioning of modern Environment Management Zero Discharge Systems e.g.; Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, Multi-effect Evaporator & Incinerators.

Led ‘Team Ranbaxy’ in Novel Concept of “Enhancing Excellence” through ‘LAZORR’ involving six Indian Pharmaceutical companies namely, LUPIN, AUROBINDO, ZYDUS, ORCHID, RANBAXY & REDDY’S was introduced in the year 2010. Five areas of consolidation through the best practices across the organizations such as energy conservation, solvent recoveries, common buying, safety systems & water conservation were identified. Was involved in the extensive process of harmonizing, identifying & implementing energy saving measures. Many energy savings measures were identified and introduced to reduce the energy bills as a result of this initiative.

Led the Engineering function of one of the major units of Ranbaxy; ‘Power Trading’ as a concept was studied & implemented. This was a very good & novel initiative, which brought a large amount of savings for the organization. In the first phase of implementation at one of the manufacturing plants, savings to the tune of US $0.17 mio could be accrued on an annualized basis.

Have been actively involved in Ranbaxy initiated Project ‘CRUSOE’ which meant creatively, releasing, unleashing, substantial, operating efficiencies. Led the team of ‘Stores, Spares & Repairs’ to identify and implement efficiency in systems resulting in immense savings and operating efficiencies. Led the team to identify potential of US $0.85 million on annualized recurring basis. This helped reap recurring benefits to the procurement team on a regular basis year after year.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
High technical competence to understand manufacturing and a good knowledge of operations in manufacturing processes & setting up brown field projects.

Strong commercial acumen / competency for the various facets of business involving Techno-commercial negotiations of complex contracts, with quick decision-making ability.

Good understanding of legal & regulatory framework and statutes with ability to work with them.

Have a good knowledge of plant operations and utilities of API / FDF units.

Well versed with clean room design, area classification.

Aware of Environment Health, Safety practices & legislations.

Good knowledge of validation & cGMP requirements.
